The latest changes seem to have broken PyQt 4.7, so I'm wondering if you'd mind trying https://github.com/leo-editor/leo-editor/archive/master@%7B2%20days%20ago%7D.zip (i.e. Leo two days ago) to see if that works for you too. If not, we can preserve the changes, but if it does work, they're probably not needed.
