Going directly to final has several benefits: - Most importantly, it will encourage more people to try it. This will increase the chances of finding lingering bugs.
- It avoids timid delays and unnecessary releases. - It most accurately reflects the state of the code. I expect to have fixed all remaining bugs in about 5 days. That should give all those pulling Leo from git ample time to report any blunders. There will be a 5.0.1 release after Thanksgiving if any serious bugs are reported in 5.0 final. Any comments?
