I'm really glad the docs are being updated. I know that's a monumental task. I only use a fraction of Leo's commands, mostly because I don't even know what they're supposed to accomplish. A few examples:
1) There are seven 'Rectangle' commands. Running help-for-command Rectangle yields the following: Rectangle +++++++++ no docstring available What do Rectangles do? How are they useful? 2) In the recently posted history of Leo (which is very interesting, by the way), there's a reference to 'Tangling'. I've seen that referenced elsewhere, but I have no idea what 'tangling' is. Again, running help-for-command tangle, I get the following less than useful advice: tangle ++++++ Tangle all @root nodes in the selected outline. These are just a few from the largish list of commands in the Cmds menu that have little to no meaning without proper context. I've been using Leo for several years, but since I'm not a programmer (mostly a writer), I've always assumed these commands were intended for the secret society of 'in-the-know' programmers. I've always had the nagging sense that I may be missing some very useful tools. Anyway, keep up the good work. Rob............ PS I'm reminded of when I visit my friend's cabinet-making shop and see some really cool tools, but it's not obvious what they do until he shows me how he uses them to build stuff. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "leo-editor" group.
