I have spent several hours lately thoroughly reorganizing Leo's to-do list
in leo/doc/leoToDo.py. This post discusses the new list, and priorities for
Leo 5.2 that emerged from the reorganization.

*A better wishlist*

I reviewed and reorganized all the items in the Wishlist subtree:

1. Distributed items from the Important list to the various categories,
that is, the direct children of the Wishlist node. The Important list no
longer exists.

2, Marked the likelihood of each item with a prefixes.

- "*" marks the most important items. They will show up first when
alphabetizing items.

- Unlikely and Won't do mark items that probably won't happen for various
reasons, usually explained in each node.

This new organization makes more sense. The Important node was becoming
unwieldy. Better, each category is now a complete summary of all items
related to the category. For example, the Directives category contains
only Won't do items :-) The old organization obscured the big picture.

3. Many of the Won't do items came from a top-level Can't do/Won't do item
that no longer exists. All items relating to bugs have been moved into two
new nodes, Can't do and Won't do, that are children of the Bugs node. This
is an important reorg. For the first time all Can't do and Won't do items
can be found easily when browsing particular categories.

*Rendering may be the theme of Leo 5.2*

Reorganize the list showed that the most important remaining items have a
common theme: extending Leo's capabilities for rendering text and pictures.

Nine items from the old Important list have been promoted to a new 5.2/Most
Important/Rendering list. These items are now officially scheduled for
5.2. You can take a look at them now if you like. I'll be discussing them
in detail in a separate post.
