FWIW, here's a reworking from the Ecco user guide, with keystokes for
outline entering (ie. creating/manipulating headlines, in Leo terms). These
are not complete but show the most useful to me.

== adding headlines ==
ENTER add new item below current, at same level
CTRL-ENTER as above
CTRL-R add new item indented one level in
CTRL-L add new item indente one level out

== selecting headlines ==
use shift- and ctrl- modifiers to select ranges of headlines, in the usual
windows fashion

== actions when headlines are selected ==
ALT-UP move selection up one item
ALT-DOWN move selection down one item
ALT-LEFT promote selection, ie move left
SHIFT-TAB  promote selection, as above
ALT-RIGHT demote selection, ie. move right
TAB            demote selection, as above

== deletion ==
CTRL-D or DELETE delete selected items

== changing view of indentation ==

CTRL-H collapse this level/hide all subitems at this level
CTRL-E expand this level/show all subitems at this level
(FWIW I have got CTRL-E to just toggle hide/show in Leo)

CTRL-G   Expand all subitems
CTRL-J expand one level below the selected item

== joining and splitting [headlines] ==
CTRL-SHIFT-J Join selected outlines (ie .create a single headline with
the text joined)
CTRL-SHIFT-S Split current outline ie turn one headline into two, at the
cursor position within the headline

Hope this is of at least some interest to some
