Here is how I plan to revise Leo's docs:

*Goal*: To present everything in this post
<https://groups.google.com/d/msg/leo-editor/emRJiYkFSO0/1sykeL2RCAAJ>, plus
all *vital* info from Leo's existing tutorials.

*Fewer docs*: The "less said the better" principle implies *purging my weak
docs* and videos.

*Target audiences*: Any computer user for general topics, including the rst
command and PIM topics. Programmers for programming/scripting topics. A
*programmer
*is anyone comfortable *reading *maybe a dozen lines of Python code. Who
that is, exactly, depends on their experience, training and confidence.

*Strategy*: I'll create scripts for all of Leo's present tutorials. A
*script* consists of a *text description* of each graphic, followed by the
text for that graphic. When all script are complete, I'll create graphics
from their descriptions. *Scripts are design tools*. They force me to
ignore the minutia of creating graphics.

*Subsidiary pages*: Links allow the presentation to flow without
interruption. For example, the first script will say something like, Leo is
a [full-featured outliner](link). The link will be to a page showing key
bindings, and maybe a few words about unusual outline operations like
hoist, promote and demote.

*Better tools*: The demo plugin encourages continual revision and
improvement. Previously, I have accepted and rationalized poor slides and
videos. It was just too difficult to make revisions.

*Schedule*: Expect the new docs to be complete in about a week or so. It's
time to finish the job.

All questions and comments welcome.

Edward
