*Purely to promote Leo :)* It was an idea to create parallels between Org-mode and Leo. Hence "Leo-mode". There is nothing complicated about the reason. People who don't use Org-mode wouldn't give it a second thought, they would simply see it as a special mode. *Ed - The VR pane is about rendering. I wouldn't say that Leo itself is about rendering.* No, but neither is Emacs Org-mode. Just because the VR pane is about rendering doesn't demand it be called a Rendered Pane.
