Hello Edward, hello Matt, This is a follow-up to the problems I experienced when trying to access the "leo development" branch w/o using Git.
I did start with a complete new install of **all** python environments - and - I started w/o an existing "~/.leo" directory. To be precise, I renamed the existing one to "~/.oel". I start w/ the good news first: I was able to install "Leo-master" as well as "Leo-devel" successfully w/o using Git. Soon after however the problems started. - I wanted to copy a few of the nodes from "~/.oel/myLeoSettings" to the new "~/.leo/myLeoSettings". I opened "~/.oel/myLeoSettings" explicitely, and from now on, both "Leo-master" as well as "Leo-devel" open "~/.oel/myLeoSettings", whenever I perform * File > Open Specific Leo File > myLeoSettings.leo - or - * Settings > myLeoSettings.leo Please let me know, which other informations you need to analyze this problem!
