Subject: Re: linux download or compile problem

Something changed with Ubuntu, the auto config used to work with older
versions. Anyway, I checked in a fix for the 0.75 tag, just run 'make config'
and it will compile again (tested with Ubuntu 8.10).

You should use the 0.75 tag, sorry about the confusion. I know the versions
are a mess right now, it's a long story but it should be back to normal once
0.76 is released and I can switch development back to the trunk.

Hello. I searched a binary for installation on the files section and the only
one I see is a rpm binary from 2006 :http://www.leocad.org/files/ .
Then I tried to compile from source. I checked out tag branch 0.75 and it
didn't compile on my Ubuntu 8.04. After that I checked out tag branch 0.76
which compiled and I installed it and the parts files. But when I ran it it
always crashed and once got to a runaway memory leak with 100% CPU usage and I
had to kill it.

Leo , could you tell me where is that binary version and/or post a clear link
to it on the website ? Also which version should I try to compile from source
for a relatively bug free usage of the software ? I am probably going to try
and build the trunk version as well and see if it's more bug free.
