  I only allow reconfiguring the keyboard (and only on Windows), I don't
think this is a very popular feature but I can look into expanding it to
allow changing the mouse as well.

  I've been meaning to add some very basic tutorials to a dialog when you
start the program for the first time so people can learn about those
features. There are other things that aren't obvious as well, like dragging
a piece from the list into the project for example.

Don't have much GTK experience, but I added mouse wheel support (attached).

  Thanks for the patch! I've added it with a few small changes to make it
more cross platform.
