  That’s what I meant: they hacked the format with '0 FILE' 
comments to be able to stream several files in one, but files 
are still the way to group in LDraw (primitives → subparts → 
parts → models → bigger models …).

  I dislike Python too but it’s because indentation is the sole 
founding principle of the language.
  As for my dislike of parentheses and brackets, my first formal 
education was Scheme, and I’ve seen people do horrible things to 
“correct” their missing parentheses.  Ah, prejudices …. ;o)

  That said, I just wanted YAML, my favorite, to be considered.  
Scripts will be as easy either way.
