LDView downloads things while it's running???
Yep, at least Windows version does (and AFAIK its enabled by default)
On the other hand, I just had Wireshark open while looking at some files with
LDView and could not find any network activity from LDView.
LDView does maintain a cache of parts it already downloaded (in
<LDrawdir> folder and subfolders) so that could explain?
