I've checked in a fix for the context menu in this case, now you'll get the menu if you right click without moving the mouse during the click. I can assign a shortcut to the right button without modifiers and get the menu this way.
That's a good point about the wheel but maybe it should be an option in the keyboard tab. I also have next/previous step set to buttons 4/5 but no way to configure those.
