I have a home-grown application, 1997 vintage, Motif-based. We use the
MIT XmpTable (NOTE WELL: Xmp, not Xpm!) widget (also Motif-based) for a
number of dialogs where positionning is too complex for XmForm (at
least, given what XmForm could do in Motif 1.2 and my limited expertise
at the time...).

The upgrade to Motif2.1 went well, but I am currently reworking the
application to use the distributed libraries whenever possible. But web
searches seem to indicate that libXmp is kind of fading away. It is not
included in our basic Linux distribution, debian stable.

On comp.windows.x.motif Xbae was discussed as a possibility, some think it will accept a widget in each cell, but my reading of the doc makes me think that is not true. Can anyone confirm either way?

OTOH, XmpTable (in the version I have) comes with the following license:

Would it be possible to 'adopt' XmpTable in libXlt?
