Well, the impact on LessTif is not yet fully known - since there
are many contributors (developers, users, distributors, etc.).
The core team has put a (preliminary) statement on the webpage:

  http://www.lesstif.org/future.html

As a very short summary: 
the project will continue and stay alive since the OpenGroup's license is
not really "free", especially it violates the OpenSource definition.
