Yes, I think I experienced something similar.
Unfortunately it breaks other tests in baseclass (well, one so far -
we should just copy the template for some other widget classes perhaps),
so we can't use it even as a workaround.
The only _quick_ & safe hack would be to check for the class
and ignore the broken case? Should we introduce such a thing
or wait for a sane fix attempt (see Mitch's last email)?
I confess the only app which would for sure benefit is vdx, and
we even don't know for sure that it won't crash beyond ;-)
