There is an ongoing projct at Motifzone (http://www.motifzone.net) to add
themes support to Open Motif. I don't know it's current state.

The standard Motif look is way different from what you want. Perhaps you
could achieve the desired result tinkering with the background color,
highlight thicknes and shadow thicness a little bit, or even create your
own widgets for the job.

I have seen some SGI applications, that presented a sort of "polished"
appearence but I'm not sure if they used the SGI's enhanced Motif of some
other widget set.
