You should first learn how to do this from the command line.
It is actually very easy, usually with the argument
-geometry WxH+X+Y ( where W is width H is height, x and y
as normal )
e.g.
xterm -geometry 100x20+30+40

Lesstif has its own an implementation of mwm.

Is is *NOT* an extension of fvwm ( or fvwm2 ).
What you need to do is to read the man pages of fvwm as these pages
must explain what you want.
Another alternative is to try xinit and it's man page.
