Hi,

Contrary to popular belief, ICS wishes you well. Unfortunately, the original
ViewKit included intellectual property belonging to a third party, hence it
can never be open sourced.

We have in the past provided binary versions of ViewKit on Linux for
academic/non-commercial use (see www.viewkit.com). Unfortunately, too many
commercial firms have taken advantage of these free binaries, making it
unprofitable to continue offering the software for free (sorry, we're not
believers in the open source/support business model).

The ViewKit trademark does belong to SGI, so you do need to be careful that
you use it correctly. We can't provide any permission in this area.

Regards,

Mark
