Hi All,
Sorry for the non-lesstif posting but this list, with its Hungry
Programmers association, seemed like the most likely place to find
someone to answer my questions.

I am interested in resurrecting the Hungry Programmers' ViewKit project
in some form and need some advice on how to proceed. I have been using,
fixing and extending the last Hungry version (April 1995) for about 6
months and would like to make my work available to the open source
community. In particular I think I need answers to the following
questions (although I'm sure some of you can come up with some more Qs &
As).

1. Are all the Hungry Programmers now well fed?

2. Would lesstif.org be interested in adding a ViewKit clone project to
its collection? Perhaps something like the Xbae relationship.

3. Should I just take my current version and start a new SourceForge
project?

4. Should the name be changed to avoid problems with SGI/ICS trademarks?
If so how does GuiKit sound?

5. Are there any other issues I need to consider?

6. Any other (polite) suggestions?

For those who need more info about ViewKit have a look at
http://www.viewkit.com
and search the SGI documentation at
http://techpubs.sgi.com

Thanks,

John Lemcke.
