True, but we targeted Motif 2.1 functionality and left Motif 1.2 stuff
alone. In our experience, few commercial applications use new Motif 2.1
functionality even though they might use Motif 2.1 (for example on Solaris 8
or HP-UX 11). In any case, it would be easy enough to re-insert the Notebook
(yecch, what an ugly widget, it is also ~800kb by itself!) if you had your
heart set on it.

Sure, and maybe add some window dressing to a bulletin board (automatically
sized to the right size screen size) to make it look like a generic PDA to
help you visualize your UI as you build it. :)
