It is known to work on Alpha. There have been bug reports
about selection in the past, I seem to recall that they
are fixed.

There's an Opteron system in the sourceforge compile farm.

I've just compiled the latest release on it and ran a
couple of the tests. They work.

What's needed ? The usual development tools (e.g. GCC) and
the X development system (include files, libraries).

Please let us know whether it works on Itanium, so we
can add it to the list of supported platforms.
