Hi all,

In the past few days, Vmobile have gotten their act together.

They have announced a date for the end of free WAP/MMS: January
31st 2006

The OTA setup has also started working, so there is no need to
do a manual config!

To activate Vmobile WAP:
send "wapgprs" to 184

To activate Vmobile MMS:
send "mmsgprs" to 184

When the settings arrive, select "Yes" to Install them.

NOTE: If you are already using your phone to browse on Glo or
MTN, you may need to switch to the Vmobile profile first (and
turn the phone on and off, depending on your phone) before you
can successfully browse. I use one phone to browse on Glo, MTN
and Vmobile.

Finally, this is probably the last "free" WAP browsing
extravaganza left since MTN has joined Glo in charging for WAP
browsing... so go for it.

On the issue of using your phone as a modem to browse the
internet with a pc... only MTN offers it for prepaid subs. It
was fun when MTN GPRS was free but now, AND IT IS VERY
EXPENSIVE. Glo and (I hear) MTEL offer web browsing only for
postpaid subs. Vmobile is silent on it.

stay blessed,

Adam
