If I have the confirmation option turned off, then I can subscribe using the
listname-on feature. If I turn the confirmation on, and have a word in the
field, then I get the error.

In fact, at one point in testing last night, I got both the "to complete
your subscription request..." message and the "your subscription request
could not be processed/code expired..." message in the same subscribe
confirmation email message. Every test used the number 62205.
