Just to make the solution complete for the archives ...

No need for multiple IP's on the SMTP outgoing side - both can coexist very
happily.

On the incoming side since EIMS cannot bind to only one IP (LRP can), you
need to use route your LRP mail through the EIMS server as follows.  EIMS
will be the WAN SMTP for all incoming mail and LRP will listen only on a
specified port, I use 325, to EIMS for its incoming messages.  (Why use SMTP
for LRP instead of POP ­ to enable real-time message flow, and the ­on/-off
address for automated subscriptions)

EIMS Preferences->Mail Routing: lists.yourdoaminhere.com 192.168.254.1:325
(substitute whatever your LAN IP is, but leave the ³:325² at the end)
EIMS Preferences->Backup MX Domains: lists.yourdomainhere.com

LRP   Server->Server Settings->TCP Port: 325
