Ours would do this about once a week, during big mailings. Jud is looking at our crash logs, but in the mean time we reduced the number of inbound and outbound smtp connections by 5 each (Jud's recommendation) and so far its been running good. Our server is a first gen mac mini (1.42ghz G4, 1gig ram, OSX 10.4.8).
