But shouldn't I be able to send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and in the body put subscribe list name?

That is what I've been doing via a form on our web site and that is what is generating the bad list name error.

Looking at what I have, actually, *yes,* you should.

On our web form, we have entries like the following:

 <tr>
   <td align="right"><strong>Casuistry Questions</strong></td>
<td align="center"><input type="radio" name="action2" value="subscribe P_Cas"> Subscribe </td> <td align="left"><input type="radio" name="action2" value="subscribe digest P_Cas"> Subscribe Digest;</td> <td><input type="radio" name="action2" value="unsubscribe P_Cas"> Unsubscribe</td> <td align="right"><input type="radio" checked name="action2" value="find P_Cas"> No Change</td>
 </tr>

and then the .flx file (still using Webstar for a few more weeks...)

user name
pass password
%action1% %email% %realname%
%action2% %email% %realname%
%action3% %email% %realname%
%action4% %email% %realname%
%action5% %email% %realname%
%action6% %email% %realname%
%action7% %email% %realname%
%action8% %email% %realname%
quit

(email and real name were entered before the list selection part of the form).

Thus, doing it without the quotes *should* work...*unless* there is a space in the list name *or,* perhaps, that hyphen that your list name has. The underscore in the example above doesn't invalidate it, but there is the possibility that a hyphen might, I'm guessing.

Just to note in the above, too, that "P_Cas" is not the list name, but the list *account*; the list account is, if I recall, whatever is before the @ in the list address, what would show up in the various lines if you sent a "find all edress" command. Since your list name and list address were the same, I wouldn't think there would be a problem here...except for, possibly, that hyphen.
