doesn't sound like you are really using the server as a server though. incoming via POP3 and outgoing via another SMTP server.

i doubt that is the way most people are running LetterRip. and since the problem is related to the networking code itself i can see why you might not actually see the problems... you are barely using that aspect of the server.

This configuration has never crashed or caused any problems for me since
moving to Leopard.
