i doubt that is the way most people are running LetterRip.
Well, it is the way, how at least I am running LetterRip. I have a
web and a mail server running on the same Mac as LetterRip. If I want
to use LetterRip itself as a server receiving messages and commands
(without involvement of other POP3 accounts) I'd need to install an
additional physical machine for it since no 2 applications can use
the same port on the same machine simultaneously. The method how mail
is delivered by LetterRip - directly or via another SMTP server - is
in my opinion not really important, it is the same procedure anyway,
just a connection to an SMTPserver.
