First, *PLEASE* trip your replies. Second, this bug was not earmarked just for cross-lfs. It very well could have gone into 6.1 but was overlooked long enough that sufficient time to test was lost. There is no reason to not move on this now. BLFS will have released 6.1 before the next LFS release and most likely LFS 6.2 will be ready before cross-lfs. In fact, trunk is nearly ready to branch to testing now. It's got a completely new toolchain and a new kernel and new headers. The only thing stopping a branch is the lack of sufficient testing at this point to determine if this is a stable enough combination. -- Archaic Want control, education, and security from your operating system?
