#1663: IP Address tables are confusing ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: lowest | Milestone: 6.2 Component: Book | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: | ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Comment (by Bryan Kadzban):
Bruce, that sounds good to me; I agree that classful routing is deprecated pretty much everywhere. (And yes, I also think the issue is with section 7.11.) I have a patch doing what you suggested (expanding the FQDN acronym the first time around, modifying the table, and adding a paragraph of explanation), coming up in a minute or two. This is an alternative to the patch I posted earlier. I'm not quite sure what you meant by the change from square to angle brackets though (unless you meant to merely change HOSTNAME to alias1/alias2?), so I didn't do anything with that. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/1663> LFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/> Linux From Scratch: Your Distro, Your Rules. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
