I've also removed the file from svn (in my sandbox). I want to change (automate) the process of generating the bootscripts tarball similar to the way its done in BLFS. We really shouldn't have to do that manually, but do it within a script every day when the book is generated. Also, I'm uncomfortable with the location (dj's home directory). It should be in the standard LFS download location.
Agreed. Same with the udev rules Alexander created (perhaps they should be given a new date so they don't have the tiresome -try2 in the name). I'd like to see the udev rules live in svn. This should be fine as long as Alexander has commit privelages since he's the main developer there. (Jim, I haven't forgotten about the shared project on cross-lfs.org. I want to start working on that after we all get our releases done.) As far as generating from script, I would hope that a new tarball would only be created if the bootscripts had changed. Is this how the BLFS bootscripts work? I'm actually not familiar. -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
