The thing that really held me up was trying to make 'allyesconfig' - it blew out in the final link (disk full). Now (with a little blfs) I've got about 2.9GiB available and the incomplete build tree was using 3100MiB.
Ok, allyesconfig is not a sensible config for somebody to use, but I was more than surprised by how big it became.
