Err, no. Most LFS builders should *not* be newbies. See
http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/7.4/prologue/prerequisites.html.
Anyway, please take this issue to the lfs-support mailing list, where
folks will be happy to help out. You'll also want to attach the output of
'make test' rather than the config.log file, I would have thought.
