Hi,

No, and it's likely that the NNTP gateway will simply be switched off in the near future. It's causing us more headaches than its worth and none of the current staff know how to adminster it properly.

I'm happy to try to run it...
What are the issues that you are having?

When someone CC's a message to more than one list, the associated news group never gets a copy of the message. In order to compensate for this happening over such a long period of time, I think the approach we need to take to fix this is:

1) Stop mailing list daemon and nntpd
2) Delete all news folders
3) Upgrade both mailman and nntpd
4) Import all mailing list messages into the news folders
5) Start mailing list daemon and nntpd.

Does that sound sensible to you?

Alternatively, how about updating the gmane stuff? Some of the groups are there and some are not...

I wouldn't know who to contact to get that sorted out, though that would solve everything as it offloads the NNTP maintainership onto GMane!

Regards,

Matt.
