Well.

The copying seemed to work out. I did

ntfsclone --save-image --output - /dev/hdb3 | ntfsclone --restore-image
--overwrite /dev/sda3 -


Mounting sda3 and ls shows me the directory structure I expected,

but when rebooting to the partition it won't boot. Grub tells me it uses the
partition and chainloader +1 but after that nothing happens.

I think the mbr has to be copied to!? But how?
