Hi LFSers!

I know I've been really quiet for ages again, but for those who still
remember me (or who are interested anyhow):

I'm going to give a short lecture about LFS in December ("Chaosseminar"
on 2005-12-12, University of Ulm). The lecture will be about LFS
history, and LFS 6.1.1 in special (including many technical details ;-)
). Target audience is everyone interested (though usually at least half
of the people there are CCC[1]-related).

The announcement is at <URL:https://www.ulm.ccc.de/chaos-seminar/>[2].

My current plan to fill the (max.) 2 hours is:
* What is LFS?
* Why LFS? Who uses LFS? In what environments/configurations? With what
hardware?
* LFS history (LFS HOWTO 1.0 until LFS 6.1.1, milestones, PLFS) (see
details below)
* How does the LFS way to build the system work? (see details below)
* FBBG :-)
(* ICA?)

At the end of the lecture, drop some (very few) words about:
* Translations
* Related projects
(* Similar: Gentoo, DIY-Linux?)
* Advertising ;-) - LFS printed books for sale

Details about:
What was special/important in each LFS version?
  - uses Debian binary packages
  - can be compiled from LFS system
  - bigger changes in build method
  - provide a minimalistic system which can be used as a base to build
    everything else (except ADA compiler ;-) )
  - "reboot into chroot" technique
  - create a "clean" system / "purity"

As I'll be preparing my slides over the next weeks, I'm asking for some
feedback:
I'd be interested to hear what you would expect from such an event and
what you would suggest to include in the slides or how to modify my
suggestion made above.
