As far as I know, mutt and mailx(nail) are two of the scriptable e-mail clients. Cygwin is a good choice to emulate Unix. You can also try to use VMware and Qemu.

Hi All, At work, i need to monitor an FTP server for changes, and send an e-mail witch the changes every week. I have found the set of programs that allow me to figure out the contents of an ftp server without downloading it (ncftpls) and also to figure out the differences (diff) but i have not found a way to mail the results. My workstation runs windows XP (sorry, can't change that ;-) ), and therefore i need a linux distro that runs inside an emulator. I've tried puppy linux, and it works great, except it doesn't have a scriptable e-mail program. Does anybody know a linux distro that: -runs inside an emulator. -has a scriptable e-mail client -preferably the distro can access a local hard drive or a windows share. Thanks for thinking with me, Best regards, Cedric de Wijs -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-chat FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
