Because usb is slow? As far as installing on a usb stick goes, I've never done it but the only problems I can foresee are with booting. Can your BIOS boot a usb device? (Most modern BIOS can). Have you got grub installed on your hard drive or will you install grub onto the MBR of your usb stick and then get your BIOS to boot the usb?
