Rather than wait to show the world your new software until your build is good on all platforms, perhaps you could create a README which documents the known ways it works, the known ways it fails, and include a "help fixing this is encouraged" comment. Perhaps if you push it to something like github or bitbucket then someone might be able to identify what is needed to make a smooth build for KDE systems.
