As another lurker/user rather than a contributor, I'd also concur with Joshua's POV.
It seems to me however that for the way most "regular" users of LFS do things (I mean a customised, scripted LFS/BLFS system) it would make perfect sense to have a L/B/C/H/X/LFS standard set of users, groups and rules. This might potentially need a separate project so that all contributors could assist.
