ISTR various ways of enabling it have been suggested. When I was trying it back in February I took the easy way out : create /usr/bin/gold/ld as a symlink, then put that at the front of $PATH. That also allowed me to use the old ld on the one or two packages where I needed to do some research but needed them to do the research (e.g. firefox - that is supposed to be fixed as for ff46). That method is still convenient if people want to try this at home.
Back in February, gold needed bison as well as the obvious configure switch. By the time gold goes into the books I'm sure this will all be sorted out. ĸen -- This email was written using 100% recycled letters. -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
