Wow! That's quite the indictment!

My sole purpose for using systemd is because it automatically starts the
system clock with an internet time server instead of relying on the
hardware clock. (hwclock hasn't worked on my system since Linux 4.1.y) ...
and it is now very well integrated into LFS.
