Thanks for the extra links, but after reading both I too am none the
wiser!  For ghostscript.com I suspect the difference is that if you
buy a licence you don't have to provide your own source when you
link it in a commercial product, and perhaps you can get a fast track
for raising issues.

For wikipedia, the 'Variants and forks' part is interesting, but
probably out of date for some forks, e.g. GNU ghostscript can be
found at savannah but has not been released in about 5 years
(9.14.0) although there was a commit "prepare version 9.14.1" about
3 years ago.

So for what we are doing in BLFS, as always builders should read the
licenses (including incompatabilities) before distributing a binary
build, and perhaps consult their lawyer.  But the source is
available and instructions on how to build it are fine.
