Hrm. Indeed. And I'm not sure about that one. I know there's been reports before now concerning issues with FC4 and ext3, but I can't remember the details.
It might be a silly question, but are the contents of that partition important? If not you could always reformat it with another file system using the tools on the livecd. The livecd supports ext2, ext3, reiserfs, reiser4fs, and xfs.
