Hi, I just finished an LFS 6.1.2 install using ALFS onto a laptop I have.
Install went well except for a timeout error (??? I haven't checked on that
yet). What amazed me was how smooth everything went. I even have USB
support working right off the bat so I can plug my memory stick in (couldn't
get it working under VMWare, looking into that later).
What isn't working is my Linksys PCM100 network card. I checked the dmesg
and the kernel installed the Yenta module for PCMCIA with no warning or
errors. There is no installation attempt that I can see for a NIC. When I
built my kernel I set all the NICs as modules. I should mention that I used
the LiveCD and it didn't find anything either.
What should I be looking for? I googled on Yenta, Linksys and PCM100,
didn't really find anything that looked promising.
Thanks,
Mark
Perhaps I'm a bit behind the times, but I thought you had to install the
PCMCIA support package from http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/.
