Just for academic interest, I bought an 8 proc IBM eServer with the
latest p5. It came with Redhat AS 3.0 with a 2.4 kernel. *Very* stable
and thats the point (not to imply that 2.6 is unstable). We run a lot
of CAE (computer aided engineering) jobs and these packages need a 2.4
kernel and wont run on a 2.6 kernel.
