Not *that* dangerous. And can only be considered remotely dangerous if you have a weak root password on your system. Disabling the password prompt for root consists of identifying users who can become root in a file stored on disk. This file has 600 perms, owned by root. So, only if the root account is compromised can it be dangerous.
