Were you able to get a Guile-1.8/SLIB/G-Wrap combination that worked? I spent two days trying and finally gave up and backed the book down to Guile-1.6.7. I tried devel versions of G-Wrap, you name it, I couldn't get it to work. GnuCash just will not compile using newer G-Wrap (though the G-Wrap devs claim it works) and the older G-Wrap doesn't work with Guile-1.8. However, I didn't find a patch for the older G-Wrap, and if there is one, you could probably make it work. So, I thought about it and came up with: "It doesn't make GnuCash one bit better to have newer Guile. There are many, many API changes in newer Guile that I didn't want to include in the next version of BLFS. So back to Guile-1.6.7 and everything works just as easy as can be." -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.28] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 15:50:00 up 47 days, 3:27, 3 users, load average: 0.21, 0.14, 0.10 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
