what machine are u on? my AMD 4400+ X2 with 1GB of memory running fedora
5 and then VMware with the LFS boot cd, 1 SBU is < 1min.

by the way, u only need to 2 nodes to boot the system (presuming, u have
udev setup)
/dev/console
and /dev/null
